What do I have to improve to be free to grow? It’s a very good question on 1.01.2019. To avoid the repetition of the old errors, we have to make a new plan, determinations which are meant to improve our lives.
So I advise you to ask yourself a few questions:
1. Am I happy with myself? What do I have to improve and what errors I keep repeating?
2. What food, habits and thoughts are decreasing my level of energy? What program shall I cultivate this year? What would help me most to maintain a good level of vibration?
3. What old beliefs do I have, do I make a self-sabotaging with comfort, fear, rigidity or self-hatred? What do I have to give up to grow? Do I love myself?
4.What makes my energy decreasing? What collaborations can be usefull for me? With what groups do I have the same aspirations?
5. What to improve on my work? What talents do I have to improve? How to make my work better? What contribution can I bring to the progress of this world?
6. What spiritual trips shall I do? What places and countries do I have to visit to improve myself?
7. What books and what spiritual courses can help me most?
So, I would like you to reflect and answer to this questions, make plans, have new ideas for a new and inspiring New Year. Let’s see what Paramahansa Yogananda is advising us to do:
„Ask God to help you fulfill all the good thoughts and resolutions that you are making now for the New Year. Resolve that you are going to do just what you think you should do, and that under no circumstances are you going to be cowed into doing otherwise by your old bad habits.
I have ventured many projects in this life. I have lectured, designed and built buildings, done artwork, played musical instruments, planted gardens, founded a school, but always the secret of my success was will power. I can truthfully say that destiny is what you make it.
Analyse yourself. What happened to your good intentions and noble ambitions of the past year? Did you let them die for want of dynamic will-to-accomplish? Make a strong determination to avoid repetition of old errors in this New Year. Plan your time. Resolve that you are not going to be an automaton run by the world and by your own habits; that is not the way to true happiness. You must change; you must be able to change. Vague desire to improve is not enough. You have made yourself what you are now, and you can become whatever you want to be, but you have to use will power.
More confining than stone walls are the prison bars of habit. You carry this invisible prison with you wherever you go. But you can be free! Determine now to break out of the jail of habits and race for freedom.
